Walking tour around Kagurazaka, neighborhood in the northwest of Tokyo. Kagurazaka used to be an entertainment district in Edo Period (1603-1868) with many restaurants and geishas’ houses and though a lot has changed since that time, we still can find today some old restaurants and houses of geishas.
During the tour we will guide you through the district so you can see its’ different faces, new and old, its’ narrow streets and fashionable area. We will talk about the history of Kagurazaka, traditional Japanese architecture, and also about the way people used to spend time here and Akagi Shrine.
You can ask your questions during the tour and also in the end we will have a Q&A time.

I love all periods of history of Japan, but the most fascinated ones for me are Edo period (1603-1868) and Meiji era (1868-1912) since this two have the keys to most of the unique and interesting things of modern Japan
